Davao City: Life is Here

So much has been said and written about Davao City and here's another one to boast about the largest city in the Philippines in terms of land area.

If you wish to visit the Philippines, you should come to Davao City. Why? Because this city has many great attributes. First of all, let me mention that Davao City is one the best cities in the Philippines and in Asia.  A 1999 Asiaweek survey on the 40 Best Cities in Asia proves this. Davao City ranks 2nd in the least number of criminal cases, 5th in lesser number of vehicles for every kilometer of  city road, 6th in the house price to income ratio, 14th in the number of suspended particles in the air, and 14th in the value of education spending per capita according to the survey. In short, the city has well-managed peace and order, affordable standard of living, well-maintained cleanliness, and .

This is not the only recognition that Davao City has achieved, there are a lot more and these are the following: In 2004, it was awarded by the Office of the President as the Cleanest and Greenest Highly-Urbanized City in the Philippines. It was also placed in the Hall of Fame for being the "Best Peace and Order Council" in Region XI for 3 consecutive years (1999-2002).  In 2003, it was awarded by the League of Cities in the Philippines with the "Top 25 Best Practices in the Philippines" for its Project 911 which allows people to call public safety agencies which can respond immediately and effectively in emergency situations. Outside of the United States and Canada, Davao City is the third area to have this integrated emergency response 911 which is something really unique about the city.

Aside from being typhoon-free, it is considered a fruit basket of the Philippines. You can find tropical fruits around the city. The city is culturally diverse for the people come from different tribes and from different places in the country who have made the city their own. Though most of the people speak in Visaya but many can understand and speak Filipino and most of all English.

Moreover, the city of Davao strictly implements laws such as no-smoking, maximum speed limit on the roads and the no-liquor ban at 2 am. Anyone can really feel safe and secure in this part of Mindanao and in the Philippines with all these in place. What's more, you can trust its local government leaders, especially incumbent City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte.

So what are you waiting for, come and visit Davao City.
